Mummies are coming!

It is the time for Performance and Award Night. Wondering for long time what is the costume for a mummy? Is it the same with the zombies or something else? Maybe zombie is western one and the mummy is the ancient Egypt zombie. Brainstorming for the drama and the dancing. The costume not really look like a mummy but mostly like an injured people. 

No worries.... just a mummy pass by...

Project 6

Its Exhibition time....! Struggle for one weekend and finally have this romantic and holiday ID booth here. All the members of ID program work hard to make the hings happen. Thank God.

First day of exhibition is industrial crit. Hmm... a hard day to go...

Project 5

 Integrated studio project.... Finally ended.

Cooperation and communications obviously are the major elements in a group work. For one month we struggle for this project and the result is satisfied.

The Royal Pavilion is the title for us. With the concept of book law, we manage to design a building with two separated area. Changes are made throughout the time for the projects. From buildings with walls until building left only column and beam. Louvers are used to reduce the sunlight penetration. Plants are places in the courtyard to provide shading.

And finally the white building is there and with tress of hamster bed. Full of romantic.... Ferraro Roche everywhere...
They make me feel hungry...

With the aid with lighting, the pavilion look more pretty and mysterious. Hmm... Drawing project ended.

Learn some new things today... How to draw trees and human figures and even the cars... huhu

Project 4

Project 4... A very tiring and brainstorming project... Maybe sometimes we need some time to get into a totally new idea.

With the aid of my friend, I manage to finish my work with a better concept and design idea. I learned new words like Palladian architecture and Quadrangle architecture as well. I get more knowledge and learn how to think out of the box.

Workshop 4

It's water colour time... One of the hardest part in the drawing process... Prof. told us not to be afraid to do the painting... Somehow it is my challenge to complete the task in three hours time. I can't control myself to keep adding more and more colour on the paper to make it looks like a poster colour drawing. Finally I complete it like a poster colour style water colour pic. Hmm... quite a weird words but it is the truth. All the best in project 4! Huhu...

Project 3

At last, the project 3 competed on time. Huh... It is not a tough project but the time taken for me to complete it has 'over budget'. Burn the midnight oil for two days is too suffer. I think I should improve my time management during the next project.

We are required to design a mobile hawker stall for this project. I choose the most easy concept that is the concept of box-drawer concept. Maybe you will ask why. Hmm... box and drawer are very good helper in our daily life: a storage for our clothes, a place to keep our stationary and sometimes, it is a good place for your cat to sleep. Ok... It seems out of the topic already.

First of all, it begins with a box, which i call a magic box. A 20 mm layer is cut horizontally at the upper part of the box and 4 'legs' are installed to it, creating an adjustable roof. Two expandable colour glass roofs are installed to the main roof. The colour striking roofs can attract people focus in the public. A big storage of drawer is creating inside the box. The racks of the drawer are made up of stainless steel. The door of the drawer has a glass cover so that words can be written on it with a marker pen by the costumers or the hawker his own.

It takes my time to do some survey on the materials which can be used. Wood plank is relatively lighter than solid timber. The striking colour of colour glass make me interested in it and make me decided to use it as the material for the expendable roofs and the cover of the drawer.

It is a very challenging project to do and i have learn may things during the design process. I hope that I can do better in my future project and can avoid the mistakes that I have done during this project.
